Dear SOL Participants and Friends:

It is with great enthusiasm and pleasure that we present to you a copy of the study findings booklet for HCHS/SOL titled: "ABOUT OUR HEALTH: RESULTS FROM THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY HEALTH STUDY/STUDY OF LATINOS". Your participation in this landmark study has helped provide us with a better picture of health of Hispanics living in the United States. You are one of the 16,145 Hispanic men and women from the communities of Bronx, Chicago, Miami, and San Diego who have contributed to a better understanding of the health of Hispanics. This groundbreaking study has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The results of the study will allow you, and future generations of Hispanics to learn how to improve your health, and live longer and healthier lives. Your contribution has made this groundbreaking study HCHS/SOL a major success.

As reported in our newsletter, ¡Salud SOL! the study has been a great success, and NIH has renewed the study for another six years. It is very important that participants continue participating in the annual follow up phone interviews. In the near future we will contact you to invite you to return to the Miami research center for a second examination.
